Mayor Hillary Schieve announced a big blight removal project in the downtown core. She says the removal of some aging motels, that are in disrepair, and currently fenced off, will begin in a couple of weeks. They are the properties across from Circus Circus on South Virginia. Schieve says as a business person, she knows blight and crime are two big problems that need to be dealt with, and they remain among her top priorities. Schieve made the announcement on KOH’s Dan Mason Show.
