A motorcyclist died after a crash on Interstate 80 Wednesday afternoon. Nevada Highway Patrol public information officer Duncan Dauber said the rider died shortly before 7:00 Wednesday evening; the crash was reported around 2:00 that afternoon. Troopers say a commercial truck lost part of its load, leading two drivers to crash. The motorcycle rider then hit a car that had slowed to avoid that crash. No injuries other than the motorcyclist’s have been reported. The crash and the subsequent investigation forced westbound traffic on I-80 down to one lane and the northbound ramp from I-580 to westbound I-80 was closed for about two hours.
