Group of Veterans Welcomed Home After Honor Flight

A group of about 30 war veterans have returned home to Reno after touring our nation’s capital. It was part of the Nevada Honor Flight program that takes veterans to the memorials built in their honor. More than a 100 people welcomed them back at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport. The veterans who Washington DC this weekend served in World War II, the Korean War, and Vietnam. Yesterday’s celebration included a military salute, music, and each veteran received personalized quilts.
