Reno Sparks Homeless Veterans have been inundated with calls from KOH listeners since their story ran last week. Their simple request for household items prompted more than 25 people to give everything from the TV’s they needed, to one woman who drove all the way in a snow storm from Truckee with a box of cold weather items, like warm coats and blankets. Director Michelle Mello says the vets are stunned that so many people have reached out to help, so quickly.  Western Turf and Hardscape is installing a veggie garden for the vets, too.
