Senator Dean Heller minced no words, letting a congressional panel know, Nevada will fight hard to keep nuclear waste from being shipped here.  Heller joined state representatives from both parties, to blast the attempted revival of Yucca Mountain, and warned the Energy and Commerce Subcommittee, billions of tax dollars would be wasted by the federal government trying to force it on the state.  Heller says Governor Sandoval is ready to contest more than 200 elements of any application process, and that rather than attempting to force this on a state with no nuclear power plants, money would be better spent identifying viable long term solutions in places that are willing to do it.
