Congresswoman Rosen Blasts “Tone Deaf” Rick Perry

Nevada Congresswoman Jacky Rosen is blasting Energy Secretary Rick Perry’s comments labeling Yucca Mountain as a “moral obligation” and discussing plans to build a nuclear waste interim facility at the Nevada National Security Site. Rosen says she is appalled to see how tone-deaf this administration is in refusing to listen to the collective voice of an entire state. The only moral obligation we have is to keep Nevadans safe from nuclear waste. If Secretary Perry thinks that he alone can restart Yucca Mountain with the flip of a switch, he is mistaken.
