Man Arrested For Battery After Leaving Victim at The Hospital

A Gardnerville man has been arrested after leaving the hospital where he dropped off a woman for treatment. Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Carson Valley Medical Center. They were told a man had walked into the emergency department and asked for a wheelchair. Then he wheeled in a woman and left. Hospital staff got a description of his car, and deputies found it and stopped the driver on Highway 395 in Minden. 40-year-old James McNeill was arrested for Domestic Battery with Substantial Bodily Harm and Eluding a Peace Officer. The woman was taken to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno for treatment of the injuries.
