Donations for Hug High Music Program Stolen

(KOH) – Troy Donson, the owner of Sparks and Smoke Barbeque Takeout, was collecting money in a fun way for the Hug High music program.  He told KOLO8’s Gurajpal Sangha that the 5-gallon water jug was called the F-bomb bottle, and customers and even employees donated a buck every time the expletive was used.  ‘Some would actually pay in advance ‘cuz they knew it was comin’.  So they’d drop $5 in there, only say it twice, and set and and yell over their shoulder as they left ‘I’ve still got 3 credits”

Donson estimated that it took about a year to collect the $200 to $500 that was in the bottle, and he had planned to bring it over to Hug before Christmas.  “I’m really not that crazy concerned about the $500.  What bothered me most was the kids at Hug High.  That they’re gonna be deprived because of a coupla thieves.”

He said he’s going to make it up somehow: ‘All I want to do is make sure that the people over at Hug High know how much we care about ’em – the kids – and help the music program.”
