Incline Village house fire forces 16 people out

The North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District is investigating a fire that broke out this morning inside of a vacation rental home at Incline Village.

Sixteen people are safe after self-evacuation at 530 Spencer Way. The fire was reported at 5:33 a.m.

Authorities say eight adults and eight children evacuated safely, but one adult was treated on scene for an undisclosed medical issue and released. Two dogs also made it out safely.

The fire’s cause is under investigation.

The North Tahoe Fire Protection District from the California side of Lake Tahoe assisted on the fire.
