Each year, the NV Energy Foundation awards more than 100 “Powerful Partnership Scholarships” of $1,000 each statewide. The deadline for Nevada high school seniors to apply has been extended to February 19 at midnight. Selected recipients must demonstrate leadership in academics and community service. The one-time scholarships can be used at any accredited university, college or trade school. Since the program’s inception in 2000, NV Energy has awarded nearly $1.7 million in scholarships statewide.
