Superintendent Traci Davis Presents Her Annual State of Education Address

Washoe County School District Superintendent Traci Davis held her fourth State of Education address last night. She discussed some of the district’s successes, and some of their problems at the Billinghurst Middle School auditorium.  The biggest issue the district is dealing with is the 19 million dollar structural deficit. Davis says their goal is to eliminate that within three years. Davis also celebrated the record breaking graduation rate which reached 84 percent in 2017. The district has a goal of “90 by 20.” That’s a 90 percent graduation rate by 2020.
