Group of Veterans Coming to Town For a Special Ski Trip

Reno Tahoe Airport is planning to welcome 22 disabled U.S. military veterans, and celebrate their heroic efforts as they head off to a week-long adaptive ski program, Military to the Mountains. These disabled veteran athletes will participate in adaptive skiing at Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows as part of their physical and emotional recovery program. Military to the Mountains Injured Veterans arrive Sunday. Eight are from the Reno-Tahoe area; David Vobora Founder of the Adaptive Training Foundation; Roy Tuscany and members of the High Fives Foundation, Airport Officials and Paws 4 Passengers therapy dogs. The public is welcome to gather at the Ski Statue in the main terminal at 7:45PM Sunday. and marketing students will compete in their version of the hit television show “Shark Tank” today (Thurs) and Friday at Carson High School. Forty-five students from William McHenry’s business and marketing classes will present their business plans to 30 judges made up of local community partners including Adam’s Hub, Greater Nevada Credit Union, In Plain Sight Marketing, Mutual of Omaha Bank and Youth Positive. At stake is $1,500 which will be divided up among six winners, one from each class period. McHenry says, “The opportunity to put together a real business plan and receive feedback from actual businesses in our community is invaluable.” Previous business plans have included everything from rest
