The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office and Truckee Meadows Fire are investigating a fire that led to the discovery of a body Tuesday morning. Sheriff’s spokesman Bob Harmon says the fire that engulfed a small pickup was reported about 7:30AM along American Flat Road, about a mile from Red Rock Road. When the fire was extinguished, the body was found in the truck. There is no word yet on a cause of death, identification of the body, or how the fire started.
