With longtime Mayor Geno Martini stepping aside in Sparks, the man he supports for Mayor will apparently take over. Councilmember Ron Smith cruised to an easy victory over three challengers, winning more than 50% support. Incumbent Councilmember Charlene Bybee also topped the field with well over 50% of the vote.
