Carson City Sheriff’s Office Looking For a Missing Inmate

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is searching for an inmate who ran from the Carson City Jail. It happened around 5:58 a.m. Tuesday. Deputies say Michael Anthony Bass was working with the Culinary Kitchen at the jail. Bass was stacking pallets in the loading dock when he ran over a fence. The prison was immediately secured as patrol units with tracking K9s searched for Bass. Carson City detectives are also looking for Rumor Kamille Shilling of Douglas County; they say she is associated with the escape. They say Shilling has a close relationship with Bass and was staying in a hotel in Carson City. She left her hotel room shortly after Bass ran. She is believed to be driving a white 2003 Mercedes SUV with expired Nevada license plate DL1411. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Carson City Sheriff’s Office at 775-887-2677.
