The second annual Reno Garlic Fest is Saturday, 4:00-8:00 pm at Pat Baker Park. The Reno Garlic Fest is part of Artown and it pairs food trucks with a local garlic farmer. This provides our northern Nevada garlic farmers a chance to demonstrate their product and for attendees to taste the different garlic varieties. Family activities include a garlic scavenger hunt, face painting, garlic ice cream, and live music. Other activities include learning how to grow garlic from Truckee Meadows’ “Garlic Gurus.” Garlic is an easy crop for beginning gardeners and well suited to grow in Northern Nevada.
