The Douglas County Sheriff’s office is serving a search warrant on a residential property on Centerville Lane in Gardnerville, looking for possible human remains on the property. The Sheriff’s Office initiated a cold case homicide investigation last month based on information received from an informant. The Investigation Division says they will likely remain at the property for several days to search for the remains, and say no further details will be released until the investigation is completed.
