A fifth suspect is behind bars for a fatal shooting in Dayton, along with others who were connected to the incident. Carson City Sheriff’s Office arrested 16 year old Jonathon Ortiz Friday night based on a tip, after a brief foot pursuit. Four other suspects, all 17 years old, from Carson City, Gardnerville, and Dayton are currently held in the Lyon County Detention Center. On May 7, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office responded to shots fired in a shopping center parking lot on Pine Road in Dayton, where they found Joseph Jarratt dead with multiple gunshot wounds.
