Your High School Senior Can Apply Now For The Nevada Promise Scholarship

The Nevada Promise Scholarship application process for graduating high school seniors is now open for the Fall semester 2019 at Truckee Meadows Community College. The scholarship pays for registration and mandatory fees not met by gift aid for Nevada students, and makes attending community college in the state virtually free. Dr. Carin Hilgersome with TMCC says it’s a fairly new program.

To qualify, students must be graduates of high school, and some of the things you’ll need to take care of include and application for admission to a Nevada community college, workshop attendance, completed FAFSA, community service, meeting with a mentor, and meeting all program deadlines. The application deadline is Wednesday, Oct. 31.
