Reno Police Sergeant Suing The City For Discrimination

A Reno Police sergeant is suing the city for discrimination. Sgt Laura Conklin previously won a 54 thousand dollar settlement after she said she was subjected to degrading and sexist treatment, but says the discrimination hasn’t stopped, and that she is working in a hostile environment based on her gender, and that has stalled her career path. You might remember her name. She’s also the officer who sold a handgun to a mentally ill 19 year old man while on duty, and claimed the discipline that followed was discriminatory, but settled for 45 thousand dollars and was reinstated to the rank of sergeant.
