Washoe County Man Faces 15 Years After Fourth DUI Arrest

The Washoe County District Attorney’s Office has won a guilty verdict in a recent trial involving driving under the influence. 35 year old Clyde Veal was convicted of one count of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol With Prior Felony DUI, and will be sentenced on September 26th. A criminal history check after the arrest revealed that Veal had a third time felony DUI conviction in 2009. In Nevada, any subsequent DUI conviction is charged as a felony. At trial, Deputy District Attorney Dianne Drinkwater established that Veal had a blood alcohol level of .186. Veal faces up to 15 years in prison.
