Boot Fire Coming Under Control Near Bridgeport

Serious progress has been made toward stopping the “Boot Fire” north of Bridgeport. Containment is now at 95% and all highways and roads in the area have been reopened and all evacuations have been lifted. Several campgrounds in the area are still closed. The fire started September 4th south of Walker and North of Sonora Junction.
