The City of Reno has hired lawyers and filed a lawsuit against opioid manufacturers. The 58 page suit was filed by Eglet Price, and Bradley, Drendel and Jeanney. Mayor Hillary Schieve released a statement saying pharmaceutical companies failed to fulfill their gate keeping duties and this continues to harm this entire community. She says the opioid addiction crises has imposed enormous costs on federal, state and local governments. Reno is asking for restitution and reimbursement for the costs the City has incurred as a result of opioid abuse.
