Supreme Court Won’t “Fast Track” Decision on Execution

The state’s highest court has canceled oral arguments this week, on a state request to fast track a decision on whether the twice-delayed execution of Scott Dozier should go forward despite the lawsuits filed by drugmakers, unwilling to have their products used for that purpose. Nevada Supreme Court Chief Justice Michael Douglas canceled Friday’s arguments in Carson City, casting doubt on whether the execution can be rescheduled in November.
