The City of Reno has received a perfect score on the 2018 Municipal Equality Index, a Human Rights Campaign rating system of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer inclusion in municipal law and policy. City Manager Sabra Newby says it’s an important step towards the “new” Reno.

The City of Reno has also designated LGBTQ liaisons in the City Manager’s Office and Reno Police Department to ensure that LGBTQ-related concerns are being heard and appropriately addressed.
