Good Samaritans Stop a Carjacking in Reno

Good Samaritans tackled a knife-wielding man who was threatening a woman at a Gas Station at the corner of North Wells Avenue and East 6th Street. Just after 5:30 yesterday, police say Joshua Etter approached a woman pumping gas and demanded her vehicle, threatening her with a large knife. A good Samaritan confronted the armed suspect and tackled him to the ground, but the good Samaritan was stabbed. More members of the public stepped in and held Etter until officers arrived on scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Etter is charged with battery with a deadly weapon and robbery.
