Washoe County District Attorney office says a man who killed his elderly mother has received a life sentence for first degree murder. 57 year old Edward Samuel Pundyk was convicted of shooting his mother, Delphina Medeiros to death in October 2015 in Stead. Law enforcement says Pundyk was armed with an AK-47 earlier that day, and had been acting erratically in the neighborhood. Pundyk also shot four cats, at the neighbor’s house. No one else was injured. Pundyk is eligible for parole after he serves a minimum of 29 years.
