Senator Dean Heller thanked his family and staff, and touted the work of his office in a farewell speech on the floor of the Senate. Heller cited his work on veterans’ issues and the 2017 Republican tax overhaul as among his top accomplishments in his seven years in the Senate.

Nevada’s Democratic Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto also paid tribute to Heller.

There’s no word yet on Heller’s future plans and whether they may include running for office again.
