Nevada Governor Wants to See Harassment Policies of Gaming and Pot Industries

Governor Steve Sisolak signed an Executive Order directing the Department of Taxation and the Gaming Control Board to collect sexual harassment and discrimination policies from marijuana and gaming privileged license holders, no later than May 1st. Reports must then be delivered to the Office of the Governor and Attorney General as Chair of the Governor’s Task Force on Sexual Harassment and Discrimination Law and Policy. The Governor says “Nevada’s marijuana and gaming industries, which operate under privileged licenses, have contributed tremendously to the economic well being of our residents, and we look forward to working with them to ensure they maintain workplaces free of sexual harassment and discrimination.
