Non-Profit Offers Free Prom Clothes For Needy Teens

Lexie’s Gift has opened inside the Shoppers Square Mall, giving low income students a chance to get a dress for prom for free. The shop was created by founder Barbie Marcoe, who lost her daughter Lexie in a car accident two years ago. Marcoe says it gives teens a chance to wear something nice on one of the most memorable nights of their lives.

All students need to do to shop is show a valid high school ID. The boutique is on the second floor of Shoppers Square Mall through the end of February on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 to 6pm, and Saturdays 10 to 6pm.
