Google Plans Investment In Data Centers, Including Nevada

Google says it is investing more than $13 billion in data centers this year, including the Nevada location that opened in 2012. Google CEO Sundar Pichai blogged that “These new investments will give us the capacity to hire tens of thousands of employees, and enable the creation of more than 10,000 new construction jobs in Nebraska, Nevada, Ohio, Texas, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Virginia.” Google hired more than 10 thousand people last year and invested 9 billion dollars in its “Domestic Footprint.”
