Sons of Missing Woman Getting Some Closure After 45 Years

Clinton and Brion Dinkel are getting some closure 45 years after their mother’s disappearance.  Advancements in DNA analysis helped investigators link a Jane Doe skull found in 1981 near Placerville to their mother, Rebecca Dinkel. 19 year old Rebecca Dinkel, was last seen in 1974 at a Garden Valley cafe with her mother Nancy Webster. Both were never seen again. Clinton was 2 years old and Brion 6 months old when their mother disappeared. They said they never got the chance to know her. Webster’s boyfriend, Clifton Mahaney was charged with murder and he was convicted off involuntary manslaughter in 1975. He served ten years and died in 2002. But he never cleared the mystery of the missing women, now resolved by DNA.
