The body of a skier reported missing Monday was recovered late Tuesday morning. Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says 62-year-old Brett Herrick from Seaside, California was skiing with his girlfriend on the Comet Run, in the Stagecoach Lodge area of the resort. She saw him last about 11:15AM Monday and reported him missing to the ski patrol that afternoon. Late Tuesday morning, Heavenly Ski Patrol with the assistance of a K9 search dog, found Herrick’s body, about 100 feet from a groomed trail immersed in deep snow.
