Nye County Puts Legislature “On Notice” Over Guns

Nye County commissioners unanimously approved a resolution opposing the passage of any Bill that restricts the rights of US Citizens as Protected by Section 11 of the Nevada Constitution ,and the Second Amendment of the Constitution. According to Brian Shoemake, of the Nevada Firearms Coalition, a “This resolution is to put the Nevada Legislature on notice that the bills they have been proposing regarding restrictions on our Constitutional Rights will not be tolerated.” The resolution reads in part: The Nye County Board of County Commissioners demands that the Nevada State Legislature cease any action restricting the Right of the People to keep and bear arms, and hereby demand that the Governor of Nevada veto any legislation which infringes on the right of the people to keep and bear arms.
