The City of Reno will start running the train at Idlewild Park Saturday, just in time for Washoe County School District’s spring break. The train is a nostalgic ride that highlights the most scenic parts of Idlewild Park. The train will run daily from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting, through Sunday, April 7th. From there, it will remain on a weekend-only schedule until Memorial Day weekend, when normal summer hours take effect. Beginning Memorial Day weekend, the train will run every day, except Mondays, through September 1.
