The issue will reportedly be back in May, but for now Las Vegas City Council has rejected a measure that would have allowed licensed marijuana retail stores and dispensaries to apply to open marijuana lounges. The businesses would let customers use marijuana in a public, social environment, like a bar. The problem in Nevada for legal marijuana supporters is, it’s legal to purchase marijuana from a dispensary. But the more than 40 million tourists who visit the city each year aren’t allowed to use it in hotels, casinos, bars, restaurants or on the street.
