The Commission on Judicial Selection has forwarded three names to Gov. Steve Sisolak to fill the Washoe District Court judge position, open after David Humke’s resignation. They nominated 41 year old Jennifer Helen Rains, of the Washoe County Public Defender’s Office; 48 year old Tamatha R. Schreinert, of Silverman Kattelman Springgate; and 59 year old Sandra A. Unsworth, who has her own law firm. Nine attorneys applied. Humke agreed to leave the court in January, after being suspended several times since taking the bench in 2015.
