This was supposed to be the first week the outdoor pool in Carson City opens, but there are not enough part-time employees. Carson City Recreation Manager Mike Freeman says it’s at a point where it’s starting to affect programming. Freeman says they are looking to fill around 30 part-time lifeguard positions. Freeman says they are looking for people of all ages. In case you are not certified, there are two classes still available to get your certification. They cost $70. For information go to Carson.org
