The Sparks Police Department is warning about a scam asking girls ages 10 to 14 for pictures of themselves, in various states of dress,  and threatening the girls or their families if they don’t cooperate. The scammers also cloned the girls’ accounts to make fake social media accounts. The information they got included the addresses and phone numbers of the girls and their families. Police remind parents to discuss their children’s social media use and to monitor  accounts.
