About a half acre of land burned Thursday night near Minden as Foothill Road was closed for about two hours. It has since reopened. The East Fork Fire Protection District reports the fire started at the bottom of a power pole at about 7 p.m. near Foothill Road and Muller Lane. Crews kept it from spreading beyond a half acre. No homes were threatened. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
