Lyon County is monitoring conditions on the Walker River for potential flooding. According to Lyon County Manager Jeff Page, there are low lying areas long the Walker River that have already experienced some minor flooding. The National Weather Service on Sunday issued flood watches for the West Walker River from north of the Sonora Junction to southern Mason Valley starting Tuesday evening and on the Walker River from southern Mason Valley to north of the Weber Reservoir beginning Wednesday afternoon.
