Northern Nevada Law Enforcement Academy Graduates 22 New Recruits

Twenty-two men and women have shown that they have what it takes to wear the badges of local law enforcement agencies, by completing the Northern Nevada Law Enforcement Academy. To get to this point, the recruits completed more than 800 hours of intensive training. Families, friends, and future co-workers celebrate their accomplishment when these recruits officially graduate from the academy Monday.  Of the 22 graduates, nine are from the Reno Police Department, six from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, three from the Sparks Police Department, three from University of Nevada Police Services, and one with Washoe County Juvenile Probation. The graduation ceremony takes place in the Grand Ballroom of the Silver Legacy Resort Casino.
