11 rural Nevada counties will receive federal funds to expand broadband service. Funds for Elko County will total more than 612 thousand over the next decade. All the funds go to the provider who bid on the contract, “Commnet.” The money is to help provide broadband to more than 12,800 homes and businesses across Nevada. Supporters of the funds say this is just the beginning.
