A home in northwest Reno was damaged in a fire Saturday morning, and firefighter was injured. According to officials the firefighter was injured when the ceiling fell on top of him. He was been treated and released from the hospital. The Reno Fire Department initially received a call about a brush fire about 6:35 a.m. on Gatewood Drive, but found a house fire instead. Two people who were in the home were able to escape without injury. There was damage to the exterior of the home, smoke damage in the attic and water damage in one room. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
