Community Invited to Victims Rights Ceremony

To honor those who have been affected by violent crime in our community, the Alliance for Victims’ Rights invites all Washoe County citizens to visit and reflect at the Holly Quick Memorial Garden. This Memorial Garden was created in memory of Holly Quick and other victims and survivors of crime in Washoe County. To celebrate the lives that were lost and hurt by violence, speakers this year will be Washoe County District Attorney Chris Hicks, Sheriff Darin Balaam, Sparks Chief of Police Pete Krall, and community members who will share stories and resources. There will also be free food and drinks offered by the Alliance for Victims’ Rights and a live butterfly release. The special ceremony is June 19 that 5:30pm. The memorial is located on the west side of the Sparks Marina, near Western Village.
