The Reno Fire Department responded to a fire in an apartment building just south of Midtown Reno Sunday morning. The fire displaced three families, there were no injuries. One apartment was destroyed. The apartment below and an adjoining apartment sustained smoke and water damage. The fire in an apartment in the 200 block of Stoddard Drive was reported just before 11am. Firefighters arrived minutes later to find the building with heavy fire and smoke. The American Red Cross and the Reno Fire Fighters Community Assistance Program are offering assistance. The cause has not been determined.
