Rescue crews with the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District found a body in Washoe Lake where a kayaker was reported to be in distress. The man’s name has not been released. The sheriff’s office said the death does not appear to be suspicious. Rescuers were called to Washoe Lake last night about 7 p.m. when a passerby saw the kayaker in distress in the water.
