State Upgrading Computers, NHP Cars

The state Board of Examiners has approved contracts totaling almost $90 million to replace Nevada’s outdated human resources and financial computer systems. The plan is to have the non-payroll system up and running Jan. 1, 2021, and the payroll  system by January 2022. The new financial system is tentatively set to go live on July 1, 2022, the start of a fiscal year. Contracts to do the work went to Labyrinth Solutions, of West Virginia. The Board of Examiners also approved purchase of 259 new vehicles, most of which are replacement cars for the Nevada Highway Patrol, and the Division of State Parks.
