Dayton Man Arrested For Fatal Hit & Run Crash

A Dayton man has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run Thursday that killed a man and five dogs in the Six Mile Canyon Road area. 38-year-old James Vincent Parisi was arrested Thursday afternoon. NHP credited a concerned community and collaboration between the NHP and the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office for the arrest. 59-year-old Michael Kuntz of Dayton was killed in the crash. NHP believes Parisi was going west on Six Mile Canyon Road and Kuntz was walking east with five dogs when the vehicle Parisi drove crossed over the center of the road and hit him. Kuntz was pronounced dead at the scene.
