A Fernley woman is in serious condition after Lyon County deputies say she was stabbed outside of a McDonalds on Sunday. The suspect fled the scene but was arrested minutes later by Lyon County deputies. He’s been identified as 48-year-old, Charles Walkin of Silver Springs. He is facing attempted Murder and Domestic Violence charges. The preliminary investigation indicates this was a domestic violence situation, between the victim and the suspect. The LCSO Detectives Division is asking anyone that may have been at or in the area of McDonalds on Sunday between 2:00 – 4:00 pm, to please contact the Sheriff’s Office if they saw anything related to this investigation.
